We received an inquiry on spinning sign from an Australian customer on October 7, asking whether we could deliver it to his address in Australia 4802 before October 20, 2025.
This meant the processing time for entire order — from inquiry to delivery — had only 13 days (including international shipping), this customer needed the rotating sign for his new surf club opening, so the timeline was quite tight.
However, since our production time is short and we use the fastest international shipping method — express courier, we calculated total lead time, result showed that we could meet his requested schedule, as long as the customer made payment within two days. Therefore, we confirmed that we could deliver before his required date.

Because we knew there was no room for delay in negotiation or payment, we replied within just a few minutes after receiving his inquiry. In our email (see below), we asked for more details about the spinning sign and told him that if he paid within two days, we could deliver on time.

Order details, pricing, mockup, PI and bank details
Customer sent his logo file immediately after gettting our reply, and said he need a spinning sign with largest size. We informed him that the maximum size is 80cm in diameter and asked if that was acceptable. He confirmed 80cm diameter is ok, so we immediately sent him a quotation(separating the rotating light box cost and shipping cost).
Our price was quite reasonable, the customer accepted it. He asked for a mockup to see how his logo would look on the sign. We made a mockup for his confirmation, and he was satisfied. (Since the logo he sent was not a source file, we later recreated his logo before printing it on this light box sign.)
We then emailed him again to ask about their local voltage, power plug type and request his shipping address, phone number, and sent him the invoice and bank information.
All of this communication happened on October 7 — in just 1 day, we nearly communicated about all order details and were only waiting for payment.
October 8 — payment received, production started
On the morning of October 8, we hadn’t yet received payment, so we asked the customer if he had completed it. He replied asking whether the bank details we provided were correct. We confirmed that they were.
He then sent us a screenshot showing the transfer issue — he was unable to complete the payment. After several back-and-forth communication, he realized the problem was caused by choosing wrong payment recipient country. Once corrected, the payment was received instantly.
This was great news — it gave us more time to rush production. We immediately notified our production team to begin manufacturing.
At the same time, we informed the customer that we had received payment and that his order was already in production.
While production was ongoing, we contacted DHL, the fastest international shipping carrier, and informed them that production would take around 4 days, asking them to schedule pickup accordingly.
4 days for order production
Our production department worked at full speed — cutting acrylic faces, fabricating the powder coated metal frame, installing LED lights, assembling, testing, and finally packing in wooden cases.
The entire process took only 4 days. After completion, we sent the customer photos and videos of his finished product as below.
DHL was fast, 3rd party courier was slow, customer statisfied
DHL picked up the goods on October 12. Based on our experience, with more than a week remaining before the target date of October 20, DHL should have delivered on time without any problem.
After handing over the package, we sent DHL tracking number to customer so he could tracking the shipment status.
By October 15, the goods had already arrived in Australia, on October 16, the goods finished customs clearance and were handed over to a third-party local delivery company (since the customer’s address was in a remote area).
However, DHL’s website showed an expected delivery date of October 24. We immediately contacted DHL for the third-party company’s contact number, then passed both the phone number and tracking information to the customer so he could call and urge faster delivery.
Two days later, he replied saying he still hadn’t received the package but would contact the courier himself.
Finally, on October 21, when we followed up again, the customer replied as below:
Hi Vicky
Sign arrived today, looks fantastic! I will refer you guys to my business contacts as I’m sure they will want to know how to get one for themselves!

Although the delivery was one day later than planned, the customer was clearly very satisfied.
Throughout the entire process, we had done everything possible — especially in managing such a tight schedule.
The only issue was the delay from the third-party delivery company, which was beyond our control (unexpected things sometimes happen).
